John who has been my coach for 3 years now, suggested including some weight training into my regime, as I was having lower back issues with the added benefit of muscle mass retention because of my age.
The weights have blended well into my training and added a new dimension and challenge, along with a definite improvement in my lower back and overall strength.
John has been great with his suggestions and comments on technique and performance with my weight training and we now have an excellent balance between bike and gym.
