Ian returned to competitive cycling in 2003, after a 15 year break. Racing for his local club he won the North of Scotland middle distance B.A.R. 3 times. In Need of a fresh challenge he joined Sandy Wallace Cycles in 2006 and set his sights on the Scottish 12 hour championship where he won the bronze medal. This also secured him 3rd in the Scottish long distance B.A.R. and made him part of the team that broke the 12 hour Scottish record along with current Scottish 12 hour Champion Joe Wilson and previous record holder Steve Beech.

This season Ian wants to step up a level and compete with Scotland’s top riders on a consistent basis.
